How to find out who owns a property or address
Start with a street address and work backward to the people connected to it — current residents and the records tied to the property.
Run an address search
On the search page, choose the Address tab and start typing — autocomplete will help you land the exact address. You'll get a preview of the people associated with it.
What you'll see
- Current and past residents connected to the address.
- Contact records — phones and emails tied to those people.
- Related people — relatives and associates, useful when you're trying to reach a specific household.
Common reasons to check an address
- You're buying or renting and want to know who you're dealing with.
- You got mail or a package for a previous resident and want to track them down.
- You're verifying a landlord or a seller is who they say they are.
- You want to know a bit about a neighborhood before you move.
A note on accuracy
Address records reflect public data, which lags real life — someone may have moved. Use the most recent records first, and cross-check with a name or phone search if you need to confirm.
