By creating an account or using the PeopleOwl mobile application or peopleowl.com (together, "PeopleOwl"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use PeopleOwl.
PeopleOwl is operated by Loving Tree Technology LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us," "our").
PeopleOwl is a public-records lookup service that lets you search for information about people from publicly available sources, including phone records, address records, and name records. We aggregate this information from licensed data providers.
PeopleOwl is intended for personal, non-commercial research purposes — for example, identifying an unknown caller, finding an old friend, or learning who lives at a particular address.
PeopleOwl is not a "consumer reporting agency" as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The information we provide is not a "consumer report" under the FCRA.
You may not use PeopleOwl for any of the following:
Using PeopleOwl for any FCRA-covered purpose is a material breach of these Terms and may violate federal law.
By using PeopleOwl, you certify that you are not using it for any of these purposes.
The information we provide comes from third-party data sources and public records. It may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Public records can also contain errors that we have no way to correct.
You should not rely on PeopleOwl as the sole source for any important decision. Treat search results as a starting point for your own research, not as definitive truth.
We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any information provided through PeopleOwl.
You may not use PeopleOwl to:
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any violation of these acceptable use rules, with or without notice.
You create your PeopleOwl account using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Apple ID.
You must be at least 18 years old to use PeopleOwl. By creating an account, you certify that you are 18 or older.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). Account deletion is permanent and removes your search history; it does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period.
PeopleOwl offers paid access through auto-renewing subscriptions, sold through Apple In-App Purchase.
Search allowances reset at the start of each monthly billing period. Unused searches do not roll over to the following month. If you reach your monthly search limit, you can wait for the next billing period or upgrade to a higher tier.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each monthly period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
You can switch between Starter and Pro at any time. Apple handles proration of the cost difference automatically. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly.
We may change pricing for new subscribers. Existing subscriptions will continue at their original price until the next renewal, when the new price takes effect (Apple will notify you in advance).
PeopleOwl, the PeopleOwl name, the owl logo, and the user interface are owned by Loving Tree Technology LLC. You may not use any of these without our written permission.
The information returned in search results is sourced from public records and third-party data providers. PeopleOwl does not claim ownership of the underlying public information. Your right to view this information is limited to your personal use as described in these Terms.
PeopleOwl uses Apple In-App Purchase, Sign in with Apple, and various data providers to deliver the service. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
PeopleOwl is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Loving Tree Technology LLC, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of PeopleOwl, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to PeopleOwl is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Loving Tree Technology LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of PeopleOwl, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
This includes, in particular, any claims arising from your use of PeopleOwl for FCRA-prohibited purposes, for unlawful surveillance, or for harassment of any person.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or PeopleOwl will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the effective date at the top.
Continued use of PeopleOwl after changes means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you should delete your account.
