PeopleOwl uses Sign in with Apple. On first launch, tap the “Sign in with Apple” button and approve the prompt. You don’t need to create a separate password.
Open the app → You tab → Settings (gear icon) → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your search history, and any saved cards. If you have an active subscription, you’ll be asked to cancel it through Apple first.
You have a 30-day grace period after deletion to recover your account by signing back in with the same Apple ID. After 30 days, the account is permanently gone.
Without a subscription, every search returns a preview: first name plus last initial, age, city and state, and counts of how many phones, emails, addresses, and relatives are on file. You can do unlimited previews for free.
Subscribers see full details: complete name, full street addresses, unmasked phone numbers, email addresses, named relatives, aliases, and other public-record data.
Previews are intentionally limited to protect the privacy of the people you’re searching. You can confirm someone exists and roughly where they are without us giving away their full contact info to anyone who downloads the app. Subscribers get the full data with the trail of accountability that comes with a paid account.
PeopleOwl pulls from licensed public-records sources — the same kind of data available from county records, voter rolls, business filings, and similar public sources, aggregated through our data partners.
Public records aren’t always current, especially for people who’ve recently moved or changed their phone numbers. We surface what’s available; accuracy depends on what the underlying sources have published.
No. PeopleOwl is for personal research only. Don’t use it for hiring, housing, credit, insurance, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). For background checks, use a licensed FCRA-compliant service.
Open the History tab in the app. Swipe left on any search to delete it, or tap the trash icon at the top to clear everything at once.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not inside PeopleOwl. To cancel:
Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. No prorated refund, but no extra charges either.
No. Each month resets your monthly allotment to the full amount (30 for Starter, 300 for Pro).
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by PeopleOwl. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the PeopleOwl charge, and request a refund. Apple reviews each request individually.
Visit our opt-out page and submit your details. We’ll send a verification email and process the removal request within 30 days.
See our Privacy Policy for full details. Short version: we store what you type into your profile, your search history, and your subscription status. We don’t sell user data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Your search history is visible only to you when signed into your account. We never share what you’ve searched with other users. You can clear your history at any time from the History tab.
